Kettlebell Training

Kettlebell training is a fantastic way to build strength specific for mountain biking. This form of exercise will build whole body strength while working your cardio system. there are heaps of resources out there where you can get information on kettlebells and kettlebell training - just run a search in google or YouTube and you'll have an abundance of materials. I found after only a few kettlebell sessions I had increased power and strength which transferred directly into my sport. I put this down not only to muscle adaptation but because kettlebells teach your body to engage your core which is critical in achieving maximum strength and efficiency from your efforts. Kettlebell exercises strengthen your body in a way that is specific to the way you move as opposed to the more unrealistic movements of weights exercises (bench press, arm curls etc.).

  1. Weird . I was googling 'ultimate mountainbiking ' and found your blog . I was actually searching for a VHS video of californian MTBing in the 80s .
This is the mad bit . Youre on the other side of the world to me . I'm a mountainbiker , I built a fixie ( not to be trendy , no way )out of an old racer , and just recently I was thinking of kettlebelling .
Anyway ,cool .Fixie is great . Do it . Dont go all trendy though . Use a welder .
I'm on youtube . search 'spikeybike4' or 'fixie backwards fakie forwards '
    My bike blog is www.alans-bikes.blogspot.com

you know the score . I'd like to think it speaks volumes about the nature of man , and how , even seperated by oceans we are all just the same and if as a species we tried really hard we could all get on .
    But really .... It's just a coincidence .
